The landmark book was an intellectual bombshell when it was published in August of 1996. It was reviewed by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other major outlets. It was published by a major New York publishing house, The Free Press, then a division of Simon and Schuster. It was included in a list of the hundred most influential books of the century by National Review. And it has sold over 300,000 copies and counting.
