What is American Lysenkoism?
On this episode of ID The Future podcast, Casey Luskin interviews CSC senior fellow Jonathan Wells, who explains that Lysenkoism, where the core element is the use of government positions to deprive critics of their jobs, is alive in well in the American sciences today.
In Soviet Russia, Lysenkoists rejected Mendelian genetics and punished the scientists (who ended up being correct) for their views. Today in America, it is the Darwinists who censor proponents of intelligent design. Taking examples from this contemporary struggle for academic freedom, Wells outlines the history and context of American Lysenkoism.
