On this episode of ID The Future we report the good news that legal scholar and CSC Fellow Francis Beckwith has been granted tenure at Baylor University.

Last school year Beckwith was denied tenure, in part for his legal opinion that it is constitutional to teach about intelligent design in science classes. The denial of tenure to a legal scholar as acclaimed as Beckwith ignited a several month controversy, which has happily ended with Beckwith receiving tenure after appealing the original decision.

On this episode of ID The Future, Discovery President Bruce Chapman looks at recent statements by the Pope and finds them to be right in line with the new book, A Meaningful World, which advances the theory of intelligent design in new directions.

On this episode of ID The Future we have an interview with ID proponent, Sam Chen, one of the developers and moderators of the new website overwhelmingevidence.com. According to the OE website: “Overwhelming Evidence is a site where high school students can network and communicate their views on intelligent design and evolution. … This site is meant to encourage students to explore the facts, report the facts, and debate the facts.”

This episode features an interview with Lehigh University professor and biochemist Dr. Michael Behe about intelligent design and the bacterial flagellum. Dr. Behe discusses a recent article in Nature Reviews Microbiology which claims that the flagellum could evolve. Dr. Behe analyzes the arguments about the flagellum and finds that they do not support Darwin’s theory.

This episode of ID The Future features an interview with biologist Dr. Jonathan Wells about Darwin’s tree of life. This is an icon of evolution, showing all living things advancing from a single common ancestor. Dr. Wells argues that the evidence of the fossil record turns Darwin’s tree upside down.

According to Darwin’s theory, all species are descended from the same first species. In his book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Darwinism and Intelligent Design, Wells deals with Darwinism’s war on traditional Christianity.
